Biography.

Every time a Hispanic church sings "Dios Manda Lluvia," it is singing a song by Ericson Alexander Molano. He was born in Pereira, Colombia, in 1979, and grew up in Long Beach, California, in a pastors' home where music was part of his parents' missionary work. In 1999 he recorded his first album live, Él Vive Hoy, at his family's local church, and from it came that song that nearly three decades later remains in the worship repertoire of church services.

In 2000 he founded Jehová-Nisi Producciones, his own label, with a recording studio and distribution; nearly everything he releases goes through it. Then came Fue Por Ti (2002), Mi Pasión (2004) and Vuelvo a Ti (2006), recorded live in Mexico and with "Soy Sano" among his most-requested songs. He is also a pastor: in 2005 he was installed as associate pastor at Ministerios Salem Internacional in Long Beach, and today he pastors alongside his wife Nancy at MSI Orange County in Southern California.

The catalog kept growing: No Fue en Vano (2008), Nada Es Imposible (2011), Yo Creo (2013), En Su Presencia (2017) and Ha Vencido (2019). The Premio Arpa has nominated him four times: twice in 2022 for "Amor Que Nunca Cambia," the single with Gilberto Daza, in album or male vocal track and in song with participation; once in 2023 for Con Su Espíritu, as live album or track; and once in 2024 for En Su Presencia, Vol. 3: Piano Instrumental, in the instrumental or choral category.

His music is made to be sung in congregation, not for display: lyrics about surrendering, waiting and depending on God, with arrangements that go from piano to full band. His compositions have also been recorded by other artists, including Rojo, and have been translated into several languages.

In 2026 he keeps releasing: "Hombres de Valor" with David Scarpeta, "La Voz de mi Padre" and the medley "Yo Quiero Ver Tu Gloria," his most recent release. For those who grew up singing it on a Sunday morning, and for those who will hear it for the first time, the door is the same: songs the church sings together, with hope set on Christ and not on the outcome.
