Biography.

Averly Morillo sings worship the way someone tells you something that happened to them: unadorned, almost spoken, until the song opens up. Born in Santo Domingo in 2003, she lives in New York, and in five years she went from recording acoustic covers in her bedroom to filling theaters with people who know every word.

Raised in a Christian home, she began her music ministry in 2020, posting guitar covers on Instagram in the middle of lockdown. Producer Robert Green, from the group Barak, invited her to the festival "Buscando Adoradores para Cristo," where she finished second. That led her to sign with Green Music LLC and Sky Music, and in June 2021 she released her first single, "Ante Tu Altar," recorded live at the Tabernáculo de Adoración church in Santo Domingo.

Then came "Quebrántame," "El Manto del Rey," "Santo Espíritu," "¿Quién Podrá?" and "Tuyo Es El Reino" with pastor Yesenia Then. The live album "Ante Tu Altar (Tour Edition)" and the acoustic EP "Más Íntimo," both from 2023, brought that repertoire together. In 2024 came "Mesías (Live)" and "Estoy Convencido"; in 2025, "Leña Nueva" and "Corro a Ti"; and in 2026, the live EPs "Victoria," "Hay Poder (YESHUA)" and "Jesucristo (Live)," ahead of the album "Presencia (Live)."

Her voice has also traveled on other artists' songs: "Exaltación" with Redimi2 (2024), "El Nombre" with the Colombian collective Un Corazón, and "Pentecostés" with Karen Espinosa. At the 19th Premios Arpa (November 2024) she won Álbum Vocal Femenino for "Más Íntimo (acústico)" and competed in Canción en Participación for "Exaltación." In 2026 came her first Dove nomination, for Spanish Language Worship Recorded Song of the Year, for "Victoria": the ceremony is October 7 in Nashville.

Hers is congregational worship: songs made to be sung in church, almost always recorded live, that point to God's presence and not to the artist singing them. That's why her repertoire sounds the same in a San Juan arena as it does in a neighborhood church. This year the Presencia Tour passed through eight U.S. cities, from Virginia Beach to McAllen, and her catalog keeps growing toward the church before the algorithm.
