About us

What we believe.

Sígueme is a Christian outlet for young Hispanics. This statement is the foundation of everything we publish; every story is reviewed in its light before it goes out.

Statement of faith

01 · One God

We believe in one God, eternal, existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is holy, good and full of love. He created all that exists, sustains it and governs it to fulfill his purposes.

02 · The Bible

We believe that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, true and without error in the original writings. It is our final authority in everything it teaches about faith and life.

03 · Created in his image

We believe that God created human beings, male and female, in his image. That is why every person has dignity and worth, regardless of origin, age or condition. We believe that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, and that the family is a gift from God.

04 · Our need

We believe that sin entered the world through human disobedience and separates us from God. No one can be saved by their own merits; we all need his grace.

05 · Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of the virgin Mary, lived without sin, died on the cross in our place, rose bodily on the third day and ascended to heaven. He is the only way to God.

06 · Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift from God received by grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ, and not by works. Whoever believes is forgiven, receives new life and is adopted into God’s family.

07 · The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, gives new life, dwells in every believer and empowers them to live like Jesus. He gives gifts to the church to serve and build up others.

08 · The church

We believe that the church is God’s people from every nation and language, with Christ as its head. It gathers in local churches to worship, teach the Word, celebrate baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and serve the world.

09 · A faith that is lived

We believe that those who follow Jesus are called to a life of holiness, love of neighbor, justice and mercy. We seek the good of our cities, respect every person and serve especially those in greatest need.

10 · Our hope

We believe that Jesus Christ will return in person and in glory. There will be a resurrection of the dead and a final judgment, and God will make all things new. That hope shapes how we tell every story.
