Biography.

Yaami Urbina sings Spanish-language worship from the United States, based in Miami. She arrived from Cuba at age eleven and settled in the country where she now serves her church: a migration story that explains why her repertoire sounds like gratitude and home.

Her public story begins far from the platforms. At 21 she found her purpose in Christ and joined the Puerta de Salvación ministry in Miami; over the years she went from leading youth worship to being named lead soloist of her congregation in 2009, and in 2016 to coordinating the music group and spiritual retreats of the worship team. She sang in churches in several cities across the country, always with a band. In 2021 she joined Segadores de Vida church in South Florida as a worship leader and soloist.

In 2022 she began releasing music: "Gratitud" was her first single, on November 28. Then came "Resistiré", "Estás Aquí", "Cristo Vendrá", "Abba Padre" and "Ven Jesús", and in 2024 her first album, "Revolución de Amor", produced by Hildemaro Álvarez —a Latin Grammy nominee and Arpa Award winner as music producer—. The record brings together nine songs and guest voices from four countries: Creyente.7 (Colombia), JP El Bendecido (Cuba), Lito Kairos (Nicaragua) and Diego Hernández, of Grupo Jvdá (Dominican Republic). Several carry her signature as songwriter alongside Álvarez.

Recognition came with the album. The Arpa Awards nominated her in their 19th edition, held on November 7, 2024, at the Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City, in the Cover Design category for "Revolución de Amor". That same year she was among the AMCL Awards nominees for that album, in the electronic music, alternative, fusion or remixes category.

Her sound doesn't stay in one mold: Christian pop, EDM and urban music coexist on the same album, with the lyrics front and center and worship at the core. Her stated intention is for the song to serve, to draw whoever listens closer to God. And she keeps releasing music: "Ezequiel 37" came out in September 2025. Which Spanish worship song has accompanied you this year?
