Unified Sound.

Unified Sound isn't a studio band — it's a worship movement. Led by producer Joel López, it's made up of musicians who have played with Marc Anthony, Thalía, Jennifer Lopez, and Emilio Estefan, and who also serve as worship leaders in churches across the United States. Their bet is clear: take the songs the church already sings and rearrange them with salsa, horns, and percussion.

The story begins in the pandemic. In April 2021, the team gathered in Orlando, Florida, for their first live night of worship, with more than a thousand people in the room. Weeks later, in June, came "Tu Amor," their first single, and in August the album Tu Amor (Latin Arrangement), now on the Integrity Music label.

Since then, the catalog hasn't stopped: the EP Live Like This (2022), the live album Cantaremos (2023) — recorded in Orlando with Ron Kenoly, Ingrid Rosario, and Funky — the salsa version of "Nunca Dejaré de Cantar" (2024), and "Agua Viva" (2025) with Abraham Velázquez. In 2025 they joined the Coritos de Israel & New Breed project, with whom they recorded "Coritos de Fuego" and "Coritos de Nochebuena."

Recognition came quickly. At the 2024 Premios Arpa, they won Album of the Year for Cantaremos and Song in Collaboration for "Alaba," their collaboration with Elevation Worship, which was also nominated at the 2024 Dove Awards. In 2025, "Coritos de Fuego" took home the Dove for Spanish-Language Song of the Year, and the group stepped onto the stage of the 56th awards in Nashville to sing it with Israel Houghton and a guest choir.

What sets Unified Sound apart is the conviction that worship doesn't belong to one genre or one accent. They blend the sound of the church with the sound of the house, and they work just as well in a concert as in a worship service; at the center remains the same Jesus. For a generation living between two cultures, that sounds like home. If you want to get into them, start with "Cantaremos" and "Coritos de Fuego." What hymn from your church would you like to hear in salsa?
