Patricio Vasquez.

There are songs that play on the radio and songs that end up being sung in church. Patricio Vásquez aims for the latter: he writes worship for people to sing, and he has been releasing it from Chile for nearly two decades.

His artist profile presents him as a Christian singer-songwriter and music producer with hundreds of songs written, and one clear desire: that those who hear him come to know the love of Jesus. In digital stores his catalog starts with “Es de Ti” (2007), a duet with Andrés de León, and continues with the album Discípulo (2010), the EP Peregrino (2021), and the albums Vivencias and Quedate (2023).

On May 5, 2023, he released “Dueño de Todo”, produced and arranged by Juan Rivadeneira and credited to Blam Producciones, in Chile. The song entered the Album or Track in Regional or Tropical Music category at the 18th edition of the Premios Arpa, on a list that also included Alex Rodríguez, Gilberto Daza, and La Reforma. The song repeats an idea he himself stresses: in a world that hands out fear, life is not out of control, because God is in control of everything.

His music moves between keyboard-and-guitar worship and the regional and tropical colors — trombones, percussion, accordion — that earned that single its place at Arpa. He often collaborates with others: Franco Figueroa (“Tu Presencia Es Mi Todo”, 2024), Luis Pedraza (“Aquí Estoy”), Samuel Hernández, and Andrés de León himself. Two of his videos top 700,000 views on YouTube, a sign that these songs circulate more in congregations than on the charts.

His message is simple and no less hard for it: gratitude when there is plenty and trust when there is little. To get to know him, start with “Dueño de Todo” and follow with “Tu Presencia Es Mi Todo”. If your church already sings them, tell us when they were first played.
