Musiko.

Musiko is the stage name of Billy Pérez, a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and producer from Mayagüez. His bet is easy to state and hard to sustain: reggaetón, trap and hip hop with faith-filled lyrics, without apologizing for the rhythm.

His first public appearance came in 2007, when he sang on "Esperando en Ti," a track from rapper Quest's album Vision Quest. That led to his first record, also titled Esperando en Ti (2012), with Triple Seven, Quest, Manny Montes and Anna Cano. A year later he teamed up with Triple Seven for the joint album 7, which won the AMCL award for Urban Album of the Year in 2013. Around those years he also began directing music videos, a role in which he has won several VMCL awards.

Anexo (2017) came after two singles that marked his career: "Sin Tu Amor" with Alex Zurdo and "Todo Empezó" with Funky, both with tens of millions of streams. In 2022 he released Dosis, the album he made with Indiomar: the production was nominated for an Arpa Award in the urban category, and the track "A Ciegas" competed in the GMA Dove Awards as Spanish Language Recorded Song of the Year.

In 2023 he released Billy, an eleven-track album that carries his given name as a banner and earned him two nominations at the 2024 Arpa Awards: Urban Album and Singer-Songwriter Album. Then came the singles "Happi" (2024) and "Tengo Un Dios" (2025); in January 2026 he released the EP Lo Que Pasó Pasó, five songs with Pedro Pablo Quintero, and in July the single "Que Bonito Saber." He also joined "Pintándote," by Gabriel EMC and Alex Zurdo.

His music speaks of a hope that doesn't depend on success, money or applause, and it does so in the language of his generation: urban, direct, close to the street and to the church at the same time. That's why it sounds just as natural at a youth service as on a workout playlist.
