Casdapro.

There are rappers who rhyme to compete and others who rhyme to rebuild. Casdapro is one of the latter: Wilger Luis Aranda Campuzano, born in the town of Boniato, in Santiago de Cuba, makes urban music out of faith and without asking permission. His whole approach fits into one sentence: that a song should leave whoever hears it better than they were before.

Rap caught him as a kid, when a cousin took him to a rap open mic in his hometown. Out of that came the first verses, the school groups, and the home recordings. In 2010 a friend told him about the gospel and his course changed: ever since, he has written about restoration, comfort, and starting over.

His public career began in 2016 with the single "Real," signed back then as Xenuino, which landed him on the Premios AMCL nominees list for Urban Song of the Year. In 2018 came his first EP, "Preguntas Frecuentes," and the video for that track won three categories at the Festival Moviendo 2019: Rap/Hip Hop, Editing, and Musical Performance. In 2021 he released "Comprometidos," an EP with Henry G and Radikal People that brought together 24 artists from 21 countries and took home the 2022 El Galardón Internacional award for Urban Collaboration.

In 2022 his name appeared on the Premios Arpa list: "Antítesis" was among the nominees for Best Urban Album or Track, the same year he released "Romanos 8:31." Then came the album "Focus" (2023), "The Grace" and "Para Siempre" (2024), "Máscara" with Mariannah and Diego (2025), and "Hay Tiempo" (2026); today his catalog is released under the Christian MYDIA label.

His sound blends trap, drill, and rap with lyrics about the street, family, and faith, without sermons forced into place. In a genre that measures everything in streams, he keeps aiming at a different tally: that whoever listens walks away with more hope than they brought.
