Calibre M.

Calibre M is Maximiliano Sosiuk, a rapper and singer-songwriter from Buenos Aires who went from a rock band to the sound booth of a Christian congregation, and from there to urban music. He has been writing songs since he was eleven — life experiences, mental health, anger, doubt, and discontent, as he sums it up — and his first single, "Criminal," is from 2016.

The tracks that put him on the map came between 2019 and 2021: "No Drama" (2019), "Como King Kong" (2020) and his remix with Maelo Perez, "Flama" (2021) and "Esto Se Puso Bueno" (2021), almost all of them on the La Nodriza label. In that stretch he also added his voice to the remix "Fuego" (2019), alongside Radikal People, Wolandia, and Luis Omar.

In February 2022 he released "Microalbum": ten cuts of around a minute each, an entire album in eleven minutes, a format almost nobody attempts in the genre. That work earned him two nominations at the 2022 Premios Arpa — best singer-songwriter album or track and best cover design — and after it came the singles "Tamo Volando", "22", "Bardo", and "Micro - EP (Remix)".

In late 2023 came "Humano Promedio", a four-track EP recorded with John Producer and producers Crys and John Anderson. On it are "Rojo Tomate", "Rehén", and "CARO COMO FORT", with guitars and alternative chords that push him off the center of the dance floor.

His music doesn't hide the wear and tear: anger, doubt, mental health, and faith coexist in the same song. His official channel has more than 82,000 subscribers, and his latest releases push an increasingly rock side. He's an Argentine name to keep an eye on before he crosses beyond the region.
