Melody Astacio.

Melody Astacio writes songs about what it costs and what it brings joy to walk in faith, and sings them with a voice that moves just as well on pop radio as in Sunday worship. Dominican, based in Santo Domingo, she started out uploading to YouTube her Spanish adaptation of “I Will Run to You” by Darlene Zschech, and in 2019 she released her first single, “Correré a Ti.”

Before the first album came a run of singles that put her on the radar of Spanish-language Christian music: “Si Volviera a Nacer” (2020), “Tu Mano” (2020), “Cantaré” (2021) and “Lléname Otra Vez” (2021), the last one with Tercer Cielo and now her most-streamed song on Spotify, with more than three million plays.

On July 21, 2023 she released “Florecer,” her debut album: thirteen songs produced by Adiel Santana, with Matty Martínez and Tercer Cielo as guests. That record earned her the 2024 Premio Arpa in the Independent Album category, presented on November 7, 2024 at the Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City.

Since then her music has come out on the Riff Music label: the singles “Amén,” “Ahí Estás,” “Dios con Nosotros” and “En Casa en Navidad” (2024), the EP “Íntimo” (2025) with six intimate cuts, and “Lo Que Has Hecho en Mí” (September 2025), a testimony with pop rock guitar. In 2026 she appears as a guest on “Cristo Yo Te Amo” by Johan Paulino.

Her thing is faith told in the first person: scars, coming back home, keeping on believing when the wind roars. A simple entry point for anyone just discovering Christian music made in the Caribbean.
