Madiel Lara.

Madiel Lara (Santo Domingo, 1991) is a producer, rapper, and songwriter of Christian urban music. In the credits he signs as “Madiel Lara On The Beat,” and that’s no small detail: much of the faith-based trap and reggaeton sung in churches today passed through his hands before reaching people’s ears.

He started producing in mid-2005, and by 2006 he already had a group: JC Force, a Christian hip hop project he formed with other young people from his church in Santo Domingo. Production became his trade and, at the same time, his way into the studio: first for others, then for himself.

His solo debut came in 2014 with Antivirus, an album he produced in full and distributed for free on Dominican websites. It was followed by Values (2018), On (2021), Infinito (2023), and DIOS es el que SABE (2025). While building that catalog he became one of the genre’s trusted producers: he laid down beats on Redimi2’s Trapstornadores (2018) and Momentum (2021), on Álex Campos’s Soldados (2020), and on Noche Juvenil (2021) by the American artist GAWVI.

The recognition came with that work. The Premios El Galardón honored him twice as Urban Producer of the Year (2017 and 2019) and nominated him for the albums Antivirus and Values; in 2020 he was one of the producers of Soldados, the Álex Campos album that won the Latin Grammy for Best Christian Album in Spanish and competed in the Dove Awards. In 2021 the Premio Arpa nominated him for “Tiene Dueño.”

His sound moves between afrobeat, trap, reggaeton, and dembow, with Dominican merengue showing up when you least expect it. He says he writes and produces his songs and that his goal is to leave a message of hope; the titles say it plainly: “Dios Nunca Falla,” “DIOS HA SIDO BUENO,” “Dios es el que sabe.” Today he surpasses 800,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and keeps up a release pace that doesn’t slow down.
