Biography.

Lilly Goodman was born in Santo Domingo and grew up singing in the church where she was raised: by age 15 she was already leading her congregation's worship group, and her voice began to be heard at events and on radio and television jingles before she had songs of her own. In 1999 she recorded her first project, “Contigo Dios,” which reached the public in 2001 and opened doors across all of Latin America with tracks like “Iglesia,” “Puede Ser,” and “No Importa.”

The album was certified Album of the Year, and the record labels followed: she signed with Vástago Producciones, Jesús Adrián Romero's label, and in 2003 she released “Vuelve a Casa.” Three years later she became the first female sacred music singer to receive the contemporary Christian music award at the Casandra awards, now Soberano, in her country.

Then came “Sobreviviré” (2006), “Sin Miedo a Nada” (2008) — the album of “Al Final,” Song of the Year at the 2009 Arpa Awards — “La Compilación” (2010), and “Amor, Favor, Gracia” (2013), which earned her first Latin Grammy nomination in the Best Christian Album category.

Her career has also crossed borders: she has recorded with Marcos Witt, Jesús Adrián Romero, Alex Campos, Tercer Cielo, and the American Danny Gokey, and in 2023 her collaboration with DOE, “So Good (Cuán Bueno),” was nominated for a Dove Award in the Spanish-language song category. Since 2012 she has been part of the worship team at Gateway Church in Texas, where she sings in English and in Spanish; in 2018 she released “A Viva Voz” and in 2021 “Cielo.”

Her music moves between ballads and Christian pop, with lyrics that speak of trust, healing, and hope in the midst of hard times. In 2024 she released the EP “Soy Sana” and in 2025 the album “Me Siento Libre,” her most recent project, along with the “Fiesta de Luz” version. More than two decades after her first record, she remains one of the female voices shaping the repertoire sung in Hispanic churches.
