Joza Balmori.

Joza Balmori was born in Mexico City and grew up serving in the church: he started in music ministry at a very young age and today presents himself as a producer, arranger, musician, singer and worship leader. His bet is simple to explain and hard to achieve: songs a congregation can sing, with lyrics rooted in the Bible and careful arrangements.

His first solo album, "Alabanza Genuina, Sesiones Acústicas, Vol. 1" (GracelandMedia, December 2017), left songs that still play in churches: "Todas las cosas obran para bien", "Yo vi la luz", "Sé exaltado" and "Lléname de ti". After those years of study came a long break; he returned to the music scene in 2023 with a string of singles that would end up shaping his second album.

That record is "Canciones desde la Tormenta" (2024), featuring "Clama a mí" (with Mike Reyes), "Noble sostén" (with Ruth Ríos), "Derrámate", "Adiestra", "Susurro" (with Roger Hudson) and "Eres". The song "Lo puedo ver" opened another door for him: the Premios Arpa nominated him in 2024 as Songwriter of the Year, a year after nominating him for "Clama a mí" in best male vocal album or track.

Since 2025 he has been working on "Alabanza Genuina, Live Sessions", a live-recorded series. The fifth installment is a mariachi version of "No hay lugar más alto", by Miel San Marcos, and "Espíritu de Dios", with Clave de Soul, was recorded on September 7, 2025 at Iglesia Llamada Final Zoé, in Mexico City. The series also includes "Eres mi Gloria", "Cántico de Moisés" (by Fernandinho) and "Sólo tu Gracia".

Between releases he travels giving music and worship workshops to worship teams: his music is made to sound in the church, not just in headphones. To get into it, start with "Todas las cosas obran para bien" and continue with "Lo puedo ver".
