Josue del Cid.

Josué Del Cid was born in Houston, Texas, in the home of Salvadoran pastors José and Sofía Del Cid, and grew up among rehearsals and services at Cristo de Poder church, where by age 14 he was already leading worship. In 2003 he entered Instituto CanZion de Houston and graduated with a ministry degree and an emphasis in piano and music production.

The breakthrough came in 2004: he joined Marcos Witt's band as keyboardist and spent nearly a decade on the road, touring the United States, Latin America and Europe, with credits on recordings such as "Alegría" (2006), "Sobrenatural" (2008) —where he wrote "Derrama de tu fuego"— and "25 Conmemorativo" (2011).

His solo career began with "Es el Tiempo," a twelve-song album of his own compositions that produced "Dios de milagros" and "Mi socorro viene de ti." Then came "Mis Mejores Días" (2013), with "Dios es fiel" and "Tú guías mi destino" alongside Witt, and "Mi Dios es grande" (2017), which opened his catalog to other voices: T-Bone on the album's title track and Evan Craft on "He decidido seguirte."

In 2023 his name appeared on the official list of the Arpa Awards: nominated for Best Male Vocal Album or Track for "Esperaré en ti, SEÑOR." Then would come "Quiero tu presencia" (2024) with Travy Joe and, in 2025, "Te adoro porque tú eres Dios" and "Solo en ti mi Jesús," both alongside his church choir, CDP Worship.

His music is not made for applause but for the congregation: lyrics a church can repeat on Sunday, already sung from Houston to El Salvador. Between projects he also pastors and teaches —from 2018 to 2020 he was ministry director of Instituto CanZion— and his catalog keeps adding listeners: more than 250,000 a month on Spotify alone. If you ever sang "Dios es fiel" without knowing whose it was, you already knew his voice.
