Jesús Adrián Romero.

There are songs an entire generation learned in church and still sings by heart: "Sumérgeme," "Mi universo," "Qué sería de mí." Behind several of them is Jesús Adrián Romero, a singer-songwriter and pastor born in Hermosillo, Sonora, who began recording in the late eighties and is today one of the most recognized voices in Spanish-language Christian music.

His story doesn't begin on a stage. He studied Bible in California, served as a pastor in congregations in Van Nuys and Ciudad Juárez, and founded the Amistad y Vida community in Agua Prieta, Sonora. From that pastoral work came his definitive move into music and the creation of Vástago Producciones, the label through which he releases his catalog and that has also helped launch other worship artists.

His discography spans nearly four decades: El aire de tu casa (2005), Ayer te vi... fue más claro que la luna (2007), El brillo de mis ojos (2010), Soplando vida (2012), Besos en la frente (2016), Origen y esencia (2019), and the EP ¿Cómo me ves? (2022). In 2023 came El cielo aún espera, and in 2025 the single "Despiértame," with the group Duelo, a nod to regional Mexican music. And he stays on the road with the Terrenal Tour.

At awards shows his name is a regular: in 2023 he won three Arpa Awards for "No Ha Sido en Vano" — Track of the Year, Best Male Vocal Album or Track, and Producer of the Year — in an edition where Best Music Video went to Generación Gracia with "Tu amor." He has also been nominated several times for the Latin Grammy in the Spanish-language Christian music category.

His songs don't sound like a show: they speak of weariness, of forgiveness, and of coming home, and they work as well in a massive concert as in a room alone. For anyone starting to listen to faith music, his catalog is a good entry point: honest lyrics, with no promises of easy success and with hope placed where it belongs.
