Biography.

There are songs you sing at church on Sunday and keep playing in the car on Monday. Several of the ones that sound like that across Latin America came from a Dominican group: Grupo Grace. Their YouTube channel tops 840,000 subscribers and 380 million views, and on Spotify they're nearing half a million monthly listeners. The catalog, meanwhile, keeps growing.

The group was born in 2015 with a simple and demanding idea: that worship be more than music, a way of life. It's led by David Lewis and Rafael Tejada, and their aim was clear from the start: to write for the congregation. In 2016 came «Ven Llénanos» and in 2017 the first album, «El Río de Dios».

«Libres Live» (2022) and «Altar (Live)» (2024) captured what happens when the group gathers with its people: long songs, unhurried, with room for silence and prayer. From that habit also came the records meant for praying at home, like «Altar en Casa 03» and «A Solas Con el Espíritu Santo». Along the way they added collaborations with Oasis Ministry, Barak, Miel San Marcos, Montesanto and Kairo Worship.

In 2024 the AMCL Awards nominated them as duo or group of the year and «Altar» as live album of the year. In 2026 they released the record «Todo Cambia en Su Presencia» and two releases that share a name without being the same: the single «Que Vuelva Lo Santo Al Altar» with Montesanto, from April, and a four-song EP with that title, from June. In September came «Un Hogar Sin Ti», with Emanuel Deliser.

Their sound moves between congregational worship and pop-rock, with acoustic versions that put the voice front and center. The lyrics keep coming back to the same things: returning to what is holy, surrendering, waiting. It's music made to be sung out loud with others, and that's where its strength lies: it doesn't promise success or quick answers, but the presence of God in the midst of the noise.
