Biography.

Grupo Adonay is a Christian group from Tijuana, Baja California, made up of Sarahi, Eduardo, and Javier. They sing the faith with the sound their people already carry in their ears: Mexican regional music and the corrido. The band sums it up in one line: to bring the message of salvation to every soul that has not yet come to know Jesus Christ.

The project began on YouTube: the channel opened in May 2020, and the first videos appeared in early 2021. In that stage the repertoire was hymns and choruses — "Himno de Victoria," "Cántico de Moisés," "La bondad de Dios" — several of them recorded live at district conventions in Tijuana and Torreón.

In 2024 they made the leap to streaming platforms with two EPs: "Ven y Ve," in July, and "Himnos para Cristo," in December. That year they also released singles such as "Más Como Jesús," "Mi Fortaleza y Salvación," and the collaboration "Rotas Cisternas," with Los Herederos. In 2025 came "Acto de Amor" and the single "El Fin del Mundo," and in December, "Mi Plática Con Jesús" with Isaac Valdez. In 2026 came the EP "Me Enamoro," "La Bondad de Dios," "Te Doy Gracias," and "El Poder del Cristiano" with Los De La Gracia MX.

The turning point was "El Fin del Mundo," a corrido about the end times that went viral in early 2025 and gave a name to what people on social media began calling Christian corridos. The video they posted on Instagram in January of that year is what launched them: today they top 216,000 followers on TikTok, 170,000 on Facebook, and 56,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

What sets Grupo Adonay apart is not just the genre, but how they use it. The corrido, so tied to stories of excess and violence, here carries lyrics of repentance, trial, and hope; the time-honored hymns ring with a norteño accent. And the message does not depend on the rhythm: the hope they sing is not placed in applause or success, but in Christ.
