Gateway Worship Español.

Gateway Worship Español didn't start as a studio project. In 2012, Gateway Church —a church in Southlake, Texas— wanted its Hispanic community to sing in its own language, and out of that decision came “El Señor Reina,” a live album recorded with the congregation. The format hasn't changed since: new songs and Spanish versions of hymns the global church already sings, recorded live.

The team is a collective, not a solo artist. It brings together voices that call Gateway home: Daniel Calveti, Becky Collazos, Jacobo Ramos, Coalo Zamorano, Armando Sánchez, Travy Joe, Josh and Luis Morales of Miel San Marcos, alongside a younger generation in Waleska Morales, Rebeca Zamorano, and Daniela Calveti. Their recordings also feature Lilly Goodman, Christine D'Clario, Marcos Brunet, Marco Barrientos, Ingrid Rosario, and Julissa, among others.

The discography moves in stages: “Por Siempre Tuyo” (2016) and “Más Grande” (2018) covered the first decade; “Grande y Fiel” (2022), “Murallas” (2022), and “Celebraré” (2023) came with the group's consolidation on streaming platforms; “Chapel Sessions en Español” (2024) turned the volume down to intimate versions; and “Eterno Dios” (2025) and “Momentos” (2026) keep adding songs with guests like Miel San Marcos and Elevation Español.

The awards came with those songs. In 2022 they won the Dove Award for Spanish Language Recorded Song of the Year for “Danzando,” and nominations have piled up since: Spanish Language Album (2023), the first edition of the Spanish Language Worship Song category (2024), again in 2025, and Spanish Language Album in 2026 for “Eterno Dios.” At the Premios Arpa they were nominated in 2023 (Producer of the Year and Live Album) and in 2024 (Group or Duo Album and Producer of the Year).

What sets Gateway Worship Español apart isn't just the language but the purpose: songs written for a congregation to sing, with lyrics about God's faithfulness rather than the singer's success. If you want to try them, start with “Danzando” and continue with “Momentos”; and if you already sing them in your church, tell us which of their songs stayed with your community.
