Biography.

Gabriela Cartulano is an Italian-Venezuelan singer-songwriter in contemporary Christian music who moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2013 and has since built a catalog of her own Spanish-language worship. Before devoting herself to music, she graduated as a metallurgical-mechanical engineer from Simón Bolívar University and added studies in music, voice-over, and theology; her first jobs in the industry were as a backing vocalist and a voice for radio and television commercials.

The stage came during college: in 2006 she won the Festival de la Voz Universitaria, and in 2007 she placed third in the Festival Nacional de la Voz Universitaria y la Canción Inédita. Out of that came "No Me Rendiré" (2012), her first solo album, eleven songs that insist on something both simple and hard: staying on your feet when things don't go the way you expected.

The following year she moved with her family to Los Angeles to grow as an artist. There she recorded the Christmas single "El Motivo de la Navidad" (2014) and later "Tu Amor" (2017), an album produced by Venezuelan musician Euro Zambrano that put her on the Latin Grammy nominee list in the Best Christian Music Album in Spanish category.

Her catalog keeps a fixed spot for Christmas —"Santa la Noche" (2018), with classics like "Noche de Paz" and "Venid y Adoremos"— and a steady line of singles: "Mi Corazón" with Ricardo Rodríguez, "La Bendición", "Tus Promesas", and "No Temas" alongside Miel San Marcos, her most-listened-to collaboration. In 2024 she released "En Memoria de Ti", a nine-song album that opens with a duet with Daniel Calveti and earned her an Arpa nomination for Best Female Vocal Album; two years earlier she had already competed in that same family of categories with "No Temas".

Her signature is lush arrangements —strings, brass, choirs— and lyrics that treat trust in God as a daily decision, not a mood. Today she balances the stage with teaching at the Herb Alpert Music Center at Los Angeles City College. To get into her music, "La Bondad de Dios" is a good first stop.
