Gabriel EMC.

Gabriel EMC is the stage name of Gabriel José Rodríguez, a Puerto Rican rapper born in San Juan and raised in Guaynabo. He began making music in 2014 as a hobby, and in 2015, after returning to the Christian faith, he devoted himself fully to it and started uploading songs to SoundCloud. Today his YouTube channel has more than 296,000 subscribers and his catalog plays across Latin America.

His first project was the EP "Revolución Artística Poética" (2016), seven rap tracks that first circulated on SoundCloud. That same year he joined the C4 collective alongside Micky Medina, Michael Pratts, and Eliud L'Voices, and in 2018 he released the EP "Trance", with slower rhythms and electronic touches.

In 2020 he signed with the Nain Music label and released two EPs, "Denme Break" and "Step By Step". A year later came "Agenda", his first album, with sixteen songs, followed by "Interludio". In 2022 he released "El Final de Mis Sueños" and its Deluxe edition; in 2023, the EP "Otro Trance", which deals with anxiety and loneliness, and the album "Efecto EMC". In May 2023 he gave his first solo concert at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan.

International recognition came in 2025, when the 56th edition of the GMA Dove Awards nominated him for Spanish Language Recorded Song of the Year for "ALGORITMO", with Alex Zurdo; the award went to "Coritos de Fuego". Before that he had appeared in the Premios Tu Música Urbano: in 2020 for "Intentemos algo (Remix)" and in 2023 in the Christian and spiritual category. In 2024 he released "DUAL" with Alex Zurdo, in 2025 he released "Un Día Contigo", and in 2026 "Una Vida Contigo" and the single "Pintándote", with Alex Zurdo and Musiko.

His sound blends the barrio and the church: rap, trap, and reggaeton over lyrics about identity, starting over, and trusting God when things don't turn out the way you wanted. He frequently collaborates with Alex Zurdo, Redimi2, Musiko, Manny Montes, Indiomar, Onell Díaz, and Jay Kalyl, and his catalog is a reminder that talent is a gift to be put at the service of something greater than success.
