Biography.

In thousands of Hispanic churches, from Miami to Buenos Aires, someone opens the service with "Alaba." Behind that song is Elevación Español, the Spanish-language ministry of Elevation Church, the multisite church based in Charlotte, North Carolina, pastored by Steven Furtick. It isn't a studio artist: it's a worship team that translates and writes so the local church can sing in its own language.

The project began as the Spanish-language version of Elevation Worship's songs. In August 2017 Lo Harás Otra Vez came out, their first Spanish-language album, with eight tracks that many congregations already sang in English: "Lo Harás Otra Vez," "Ven Ante Su Trono," "Él Que Resucitó." Then came Aleluya (En La Tierra) in 2019, Tumbas A Jardines in 2020 and LEÓN in 2022, and the team stopped being a translation and became a band with its own voice.

Algo Nuevo Viene (2024) marked that shift: less of a version and more of an original song, with collaborations by Miel San Marcos, Unified Sound and ELEVATION RHYTHM. The translation of "Praise," "Alaba," became a repertoire anthem in churches across several countries. In February 2026 ASÍ SERÁ came out, with Spanish-language versions of songs from SO BE IT and a few ELEVATION RHYTHM hymns, and that same month they released their first Portuguese-language material, the EP El Nombre De Jesús, made for Brazil.

The recognition came with that blend. "Alaba" won Song in Participation at the 2024 Premios Arpa — alongside Elevation Worship and Unified Sound — and competed at the 2024 Dove Awards as Spanish-language worship song of the year. Algo Nuevo Viene and ASÍ SERÁ were nominated as Spanish-language album of the year at the 2025 and 2026 Dove Awards.

Their proposal is simple and demanding: songs a congregation can sing without rehearsing beforehand, with lyrics centered on grace and on the work of Christ. They've already taken that repertoire to Peru, Colombia and Guatemala, before thousands of people. If your church sings "Alaba" on a Sunday, you've already sung something of theirs.
