Daniel Piedra Soto.

Daniel Piedra Soto was born in Costa Rica and now lives in Canada, from where he travels leading worship in churches and venues across several countries. His first album, «A La Luz de Tu Rostro», came out in 2013 —ten songs, on Revolution House Records— and played on radio stations across North and South America. Since then he has kept a steady pace of releases, between studio albums, live albums, and singles.

His trade before music was advertising: he studied General Arts and Science at Sheridan in Canada, and in 2009 he was part of a health campaign recognized by the World Health Organization and the Government of Costa Rica. That craft shows in how he sounds: pop-structured songs, direct lyrics, and choruses made to be sung in congregation.

Then came «Fluir» (2017), recorded live with the idea of sounding like a home: simple, with mistakes, but with the Father's room open. In 2018 he released «Atracción» and its English version «Attraction», and with that album came his first Premio Arpa nomination, in the XV edition (November 21, 2019, Teatro Gran Recinto, Mexico City), in the Best Pop/Fusion Album category.

The second nomination came in 2024: «Exousia» (2023) competed as Male Vocal Album in the XIX edition of the Arpa awards, presented on November 7, 2024 at the Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City. In between he recorded «Refugio (En Vivo)» (2021) and the concert at Costa Rica's National Auditorium, which came out as a live album in 2022. In 2024 he released the EP «Miren Al Cordero» and the single «Ya Nació», and in February 2026 the single «Elise».

He is also president and founder of Misión Levitas Global and Levites Canada, with locations in Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico, and Italy, and the author of three books: «En la Creatividad del Espíritu Santo», «Sonidos del Cielo», and «Alterando el código genético». His YouTube channel, with more than 180 videos, mixes worship, devotionals, and prayers: the same idea that sustains his albums, that worship is an everyday thing and not just for Sunday.
