Daniel Calveti.

Daniel Calveti is on the song list of nearly every Hispanic church: "La Niña de Tus Ojos," "En Paz," "La Última Palabra." He was born in Caracas in 1977 and grew up between Houston and Puerto Rico, where he launched his public career in 1994. Three decades later he is still recording and touring: his most recent album, LA CASA DE PAPÁ (2026), brings together 17 songs with his band, la mesa.

He debuted in 2003 with Sólo Tu Gracia, on the CanZion label, and in 2005 came Vivo Para Ti (En Vivo desde Puerto Rico), the project that made "La Niña de Tus Ojos" one of the most-requested songs in the Spanish-language worship repertoire. It was followed by Un Día Más (2006), En Paz (2008) — his first release with a major label, Universal Latino, and the one that took him onto the Billboard Latin Pop charts —, Mi Mundo Necesita de Ti (2009), and Mi Refugio (2012).

The second half of his career has been just as steady: Habla Sobre Mí (2017), Anclado a Tus Promesas Íntimo (2020), LA MESA (2023), Sesiones Acústicas (2024), and Capuchino de Amor (2025). In 2023 he released the EP Tu Presencia Es Mi Jardín with Melody Adorno, in 2026 the EP JIREH with Daniela Calveti, and in recent years he put out the singles "No Sé" (2024) and "La Niña de Tus Ojos (Versión Sinfónica)" (2025). He also appears as a guest on recordings by Gateway Worship Español, Miel San Marcos, and Ericson Alexander Molano, among others.

The accolades match that catalog: four Latin Grammy nominations in the Best Christian Album (Spanish Language) category for Vivo Para Ti (2006), Un Día Más (2007), Mi Refugio (2013), and Habla Sobre Mí (2018). At the Dove Awards he was part of two songs that won Spanish Language Recorded Song of the Year — "Danzando," by Gateway Worship Español (2022), and "Coritos (En Vivo)," by Miel San Marcos (2023) — and in 2024 he received two nominations for "Tu Presencia Es Mi Jardín" and for the album LA MESA, which that same year competed for Album of the Year at the Premios Arpa.

His music is worship with direct lyrics and pop ballad arrangements: hymns that get sung in congregation and also in the car, with a constant emphasis on the grace of God, family, and life in community. For a generation that grew up between two cultures, his songbook is one of the clearest doors into Spanish-language Christian music; for anyone just discovering him, LA CASA DE PAPÁ is a good entry point to more than thirty years of songs.
