Biography.

Christ For The Nations Worship is the worship collective of Christ For The Nations Institute, a Bible institute based in Dallas, Texas. It is not a studio project: it is the voice of a community of students who record live worship every year, with songs that are later sung in churches across the continent.

The ministry was born in 1948, when Gordon and Freda Lindsay founded Christ For The Nations, and the institute opened its doors in Dallas in 1970. Four years later came the first annual worship recording, in 1974, and not a single year has been skipped since: more than fifty live projects with students from dozens of countries.

From those recordings came songs that are now a fixed part of the repertoire in many churches, such as «As the Deer», «When I Think About the Lord» or «To Him Who Sits on the Throne». Names like Kari Jobe, Marco Barrientos and Ana Paula Valadão passed through the institute's classrooms, and the ministry has its own label, CFN Music.

The Hispanic connection is recent and strong. In January 2024 they released «A Las Naciones (En Vivo)», their Spanish-language project, with ten songs recorded live. That album earned them two nominations the same year: Pop/Fusion Album at the Premios Arpa XIX (November 7, 2024, Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City) and Spanish Language Album of the Year at the 55th GMA Dove Awards (October 1, 2024). In 2025 came «A Él La Gloria (En Vivo)» and in 2026, «Sonido De Las Naciones».

They also recorded in Portuguese («Para as Nações», «A Ele A Glória») and added voices from the Latin scene such as Averly Morillo, Waleska Morales, Johnny Rez and the Brazilian Daniela Araújo. Their strength is not in virtuosity, but in what happens when an entire generation sings together: worship that is taught in the chapel and ends up playing on your phone. Which of their songs have you sung without knowing where it came from?
