Becky Collazos.

Becky Collazos is one of the Hispanic voices on the worship team at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas, and has been singing in Spanish for more than a decade for churches across the United States and Latin America. Alongside Julián Collazos — with whom she records as "Julian y Becky Collazos" — she formed the band AmorMercy and led worship at Iglesia Centro Internacional Aliento in the Dallas area. In 2013 AmorMercy appeared as a guest artist on "Ilumina," one of Marco Barrientos's albums.

In 2014 the duo released their first album, "Desde Arriba Todo Se Ve Diferente" (CEV Musik), and that same year the record earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Christian Album (Spanish Language). Four years later, in 2018, the duo joined the Gateway Worship Español collective with "Jesús," a live track from the album "Más Grande."

The big break came in 2022 with "Danzando," the single from "Grande y Fiel" that she sings with Christine D'Clario, Daniel Calveti, Josh Morales, and Travy Joe, and which she also co-wrote. The song won the 2022 Dove Award for best Spanish-language song at the 53rd GMA Dove Awards in Nashville, and that night Becky took the stage with the collective to perform it.

On the team's albums her voice leads songs that are already sung in many churches: "Te Anhelo," "Soy Nuevo," "Cristo Me Ha Sanado," "La Bondad de Dios," and "Rey de Gloria (Cuán Dulce Amor)." Along the way she has kept writing with Julián: "Sin Explicación" and "Se Trata de Ti" (2024), "Nunca Cambia" (2025), "Siempre Lo Serás" (2026, with Raúl Moreno), and "YESHUA" (2026, with Samuel VPT).

Her music is congregational worship with a pop finish: songs meant for a whole church to sing, and that can also hold up on headphones at two in the morning. The thread that ties them together is simple: God's goodness doesn't change when everything else does. If you want to dive in, start with "Danzando" and go from there with "Nunca Cambia."
