Biography.
Arizel is the artist name under which this independent Christian music is released; the official channel and artist page add the surname: Arizel Cajero. The public career began in April 2020, with a YouTube channel and three music videos — "Magnífico," "Espíritu Santo Ven," and "Escogido" — that remain the best way into the catalog.
In 2023 came "Ayúdame Señor," which Arizel presents as cumbia, and "Sigue Peleando." These are songs of faith made to be sung in community: cumbia, worship, and gospel share the same repertoire, with no extra frills.
On May 10, 2024, the debut album "Magnífico" arrived: eight songs released on the Nm Productions label, with Otoniel Cajero as guest on "Aveces Toca Sufrir" and "Yo Estoy Contigo." From "Un Altar" to "Hay Poder," by way of "En Su Poder" and "Escogido," the record holds to a single theme: trusting God when the road turns uphill.
That work earned two nominations the same year: the Arpa XIX, presented on November 7, 2024, at the Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City, in the Alternative Music Album category, and the 2024 AMCL Awards for Contemporary Rock Album of the Year.
The official page lists performances at local churches — Templo Logos among them — so the music circulates where it is born: the congregation and youth ministry. To start, "Yo Estoy Contigo" and "Un Altar" are enough; and if cumbia is your thing, "Ayúdame Señor" is the shortcut. What faith song has been carrying you this week?
