Andy Alemany is one of those cases the industry tends to leave in the background: the background singer who one day steps to the front. Born in Buffalo, New York, with deep Latin roots, he has been making church music since 1998 and today puts his name to Spanish worship pop that has earned him a Latin Grammy nomination and another at the Dove Awards.

His first public experience was the gospel group SOG (Sounds of Glory), in 1998. With them he opened concerts for Jaci Velázquez, The Katinas, Avalon, Audio Adrenaline, Deitrick Haddon, El Trío de Hoy, and Out of Eden. Then came more than a decade as a background vocalist in Ricardo Sánchez's team, plus vocal arranger for Carlos Erazo, Vanessa Vissepó, Seich, and Kamilo Rodríguez, and vocals for Israel Houghton, Kim Walker, Danny Gokey, Montell Jordan, Mac Powell, Danilo Montero, and Lucía Parker. In Atlanta, where he arrived through his work in medical administration, he also served as a worship leader at churches like Free Chapel and Victory World Church.

The leap as a solo artist came in 2016 with «Eres», a soul and pop-falsetto single that marked his debut. In 2018 he released the EP «Tú Primero», with Seth Condrey collaborating, and that project earned him a nomination for Best Christian Album (Spanish Language) at the 19th Latin Grammy Awards.

In 2022 he released «Color de Alegría» with TWICE and Samuel ASH; the song competed as Spanish Language Recorded Song of the Year at the 2022 Dove Awards. In 2024 he returned with «Dios Salvador», a five-song EP released by Adarga Records that was nominated for Album of the Year at the 19th Arpa Awards (November 7, 2024, Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City). Along the way came collaborations like «Mi Esperanza - All My Hope», with DOE, and «Calma», with Vanessa Vissepó (2025).

His sound doesn't chase the easy hook: it's Latin worship pop, with melodies a whole congregation can sing and a rhythm that never sits still.
