Pescao Vivo.

Pescao Vivo is one of those bands that doesn't choose between the church and the street. Rock en español with a Colombian accent, electric guitars that coexist with drums and folkloric airs, and songs written to sound just as good at a worship service as on the jukebox of someone who doesn't yet believe. That's been their ground for more than two decades.

Their first record, self-titled, came out in 2004, and with it the bet was clear: lyrics that prefer metaphor over sermon and a sound that doesn't ask permission to be loud. Then came "La Cura para Todos los Males" (2007), the live album "Salvavidas" (2010), "Mi Fortuna" (2013) and "Paz a lo Bien" (2014), titles that won them an audience that isn't limited to church walls.

Their most recent stage has them releasing without pause: "Desde el Acuario" (2021), "Flowspell" (2022), the tribute "Rescatero: Álbum Tributo a Rescate" (2023), "Re-Cover (20 Años)" (2024), "Algo Imposible de Medir" (2025) and "G-SUS" (2026), which the band presented on their channel as their twelfth album. Along the way they've recorded with Martina La Peligrosa, Coalo Zamorano, Omar Herrera, Travy Joe and Año Cero, among others, and songs like "El Paraguas", "Tu Fan Number One" and "Dulce Compañía" became staples of their repertoire.

At the Premios Arpa the tally is this: they won best cover design with "Desde el Acuario" (XVII edition, 2022) and with "Flowspell" (XVIII, 2023), and best rock / hard rock album with "Rescatero" (XIX, 2024). They were also nominated with "Flowspell" for album or track by a group or duo —a category Jericó won— and for album or track of alternative music, and with "Dulce Compañía", alongside Omar Herrera, for a collaboration song.

What sustains the band isn't the trophy or the big stage: it's the conviction that hope doesn't depend on success, and that a song can say it in the language of someone who would never walk into a church. If you want to start listening, "El Paraguas", "Desde el Acuario" or "Conmigo" are a good entry point.
