Lizzy Parra is one of the most-listened-to female voices in Spanish Christian urbano. Lisbet Margarita Plata Parra was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on July 22, 1995, and she has been rapping for more than a decade about faith, identity, and decisions in the middle of a culture that pushes the other way. Her catalog moves from trap to reggaeton and adds up to more than 240,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

She grew up in church. She was a youth leader in her congregation from a very young age, studied at the Assemblies of God Bible Institute, and that is where she got the nickname she is known by: "La Pastora" ("The Pastor"). In 2010 she joined the urban group La Asamblea, and in 2013 she released "Esperar en Ti," her solo debut. A year later she helped found Team Sobre La Roca, a collective that brought together urban music ministries to evangelize and disciple in the neighborhoods of Santo Domingo.

Then came "Te Reto" (2016), "Hope" (2020) —with Manny Montes, Funky, and Musiko—, "Carácter" (2021), "Menos Es Más" (2023), "Libesita" (2024), and the EP "SELAH" (2025). She made a name for herself with her verse on "Por Un Like," the Redimi2 and Angel Brown track that ran across the whole continent. Her recent singles —"GOZO," "TUS PLANES," "PAPITO LINDO," and "No Hay Rush" (2026)— are released with La Grey Música, and her catalog is listed with Rimas Publishing.

At the Premios El Galardón, the Christian awards of the Dominican Republic, she has won several times in the female urban category, one of them in the 2022 international edition. She has also been nominated at the Premios Tu Música Urbano. Beyond the stage, she is the lead pastor of Casa de Nuevos Comienzos church, which she founded in Santo Domingo in 2022, and in 2022 she published the book "Un Libro Para Cansados."

Her music does not sound like a sermon: it sounds like the neighborhood, like a party, and like an honest conversation about weariness, anxiety, and self-worth. She sings to a God who sustains in the middle of what is real, not to success as the goal. For a generation growing up between two cultures, her message is simple: faith does not take you out of the world, it teaches you to walk in it.
