Biography.

Jireh is a rock band from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, that delivers a Christian message with electric guitars and drums. Its members are Rafael Sánchez (Joel) on vocals, Xavier Lara and Jorge Grullón on guitars, Hansel Genao on bass, and Jeri Vásquez on drums.

The band’s public career began on February 27, 2021, with the single “Amanecer,” the first in a run completed that year by “Amanecer (Acústico),” “Gracia,” and “Hoy Puedo Ver.” Its live shows from those years include the #Reset concert (2022) and the battle of the bands at #destrucciónmasiva (2023).

On April 29, 2022, the band released Nuevo Amanecer, its debut album: seven songs recorded in Santo Domingo and mixed by Calo Malpartida at Eternal Studio in Buenos Aires. With that record the band earned a nomination at the 18th edition of the Premios Arpa (2023), in the Rock / Hard Rock Album category.

Then came the single “Prisma” (2024) and, on August 1, 2025, the album of the same name, with tracks such as “YHVH,” “Edén,” “Revelación,” and “Mi sacrificio,” accompanied by videos and visualizers on the band’s official channel.

Their lyrics move from brokenness to gratitude: our own failures, the grace that restores, and hope placed in Christ rather than in results. It is an independent project that writes, records, and releases its own material, with mixing and mastering done in Argentina, and that keeps adding songs for a young Hispanic audience.
