Cross Church Worship.

Cross Church Worship (CCW) is the bilingual worship ministry of Cross Church, a multisite church in South Texas based in San Benito, in the Rio Grande Valley, founded in 1995 by pastors Jaime and Rose Mary Loya. Every Sunday they are the ones who open the congregation's singing, in English and in Spanish.

Its music is born from there: a live band, voices from its own house, and songs written for the church to sing. On their channel they post full services and live versions of those songs; several, such as "Rey Victorioso", "Espíritu Santo" and "Padre Nuestro", aired during the Enlace channel's Maratónica 2023.

The first release came in April 2022: SET ME FREE (Live), eleven tracks recorded live. In February 2023 the Rey Victorioso EP appeared, with "Espíritu Santo", "Rey Victorioso" and "Padre Nuestro", and that same year the singles "Bloom" and "Never Alone" came out, alongside OP Worship, plus a version of "Padre Nuestro" with the voice of Yvonne Muñoz. The EP earned them a 2023 Premios Arpa nomination — its XVIII edition — for Best Independent Album, awarded by the Academia Nacional de la Música y Artes Cristianas.

They aren't on the big festival lineups, and they don't need to be: their work is what sustains the singing of dozens of churches in South Texas and along the border. For anyone who grew up singing worship in English, their catalog is that same worship in Spanish, with simple lyrics about forgiveness and new life in Christ. If your church sings in two languages, it's a good starting point. And if you already know them, tell us which song has accompanied you.
