Chris Rocha.

If your worship team has ever tried to nail the guitar sound of Miel San Marcos on a Sunday, you already know Chris Rocha's work: he is the group's guitarist and producer and one of the most sought-after names in Spanish-language Christian music.

He was born and raised in Robstown, Texas, in a family of musicians. At seven, the guitar became his obsession, and as a young man he moved to Houston to learn and work alongside names like Coalo Zamorano, Alex Campos, Danilo Montero, and Marco Barrientos.

From there he moved into the studio and onto big stages: he has recorded, arranged, and produced for Marcos Witt, Christine D'Clario, Daniel Calveti, Jaci Velásquez, Ricardo Rodríguez, and Miel San Marcos, and he still tours with the Guatemalan band.

In 2011 he released “A Very Rocha Christmas,” his instrumental Christmas album. Then came his most-streamed instrumentals —“Amor Sin Condición” and “Hermoso Nombre/What a Beautiful Name” (2019)— and “Nunca Jamás,” with Andrés Castro, which won the 2022 Premio Arpa for best instrumental album or track. In 2024 his production work on Miel San Marcos' “Evangelio (En Vivo)” was part of the Dove Award for Spanish Language Album of the Year. His most recent singles are “Camino” (2023), “Armado” and “Encendido” (2024), “Viento” and “El Que Alegre Le Canta” (2025), and “Avalanche,” with Samy Morales (2026).

Rocha doesn't just record: he is co-owner of the label 418 Records, creator of CR Online and CR Presets —platforms for teaching guitar and sound to church musicians— and he has a signature guitar with Gretsch and his own signature pedal with JET Pedals. His vision, as his official profile sums it up, is to “empower the next generation of musicians to expand the kingdom of God.”
