Cales Louima.

An earthquake changed his course. Cales Louima was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and in 2010 — after the quake that shook his country — he settled in the Dominican Republic, where he started writing songs at 17 and where he still lives. Today his official channel has topped 110 million views, and his voice is heard in churches, headphones, and concerts all across Latin America.

In 2014 he released «Eres Incomparable», his first single, and in 2018 came Excelso, the album that put «Quiero ver tu gloria», «En todo tiempo», and «Cielos abiertos» on Christian radio across the region. The EP Atmósfera (2020) brought «Amarte Igual», the most recognizable song in his catalog.

Then came Diseño, Existencia, Origen (2021) and the Salmos volumes (2022 and 2024), projects where biblical texts set the course — out of them came «El León», «Viviré», «Bendeciré», and «Talita Cumi». In 2025 he released Un Día A La Vez, and in 2026 the live project Vertical, in its organic version. He also counts collaborations with World Worship («Unción en el aire»), Alex Campos, Lizzy Parra, Isabelle Valdez, and Christine D'Clario.

His work has broken through both inside and outside the Hispanic circuit: in 2022 he won Male Vocalist of the Year at the AMCL Awards, and this 2026 he is up for a GMA Dove Award for «Mi Necesidad (Live)», with Christine D'Clario, in Spanish Language Worship Song Recorded of the Year; he will also perform at the Latin showcase Raíces y Ritmos during Dove Week in Nashville. His worship doesn't depend on spectacle: he sings God's faithfulness in the middle of the wait and the process. If you don't know him, start with «Amarte Igual» or «Mi Necesidad»; and if you already sing his songs in your church, which of his songs has accompanied you this year?
