Vaes.

Vaes is an Ecuadorian band from Ambato that has made Christian music since November 2011 with a name that sums up its message: life, love, and hope. Its sound starts from pop, adds guitars, Latin rhythms, and urban airs, and its most recognizable voice is Abraham Flores.

The group released its first album, Reflejo de tu Amor, in 2015, and has not stopped since: Espejo (2019), La Luz (2021), Gracia (2023), and Buenas y Malas (2025) complete five albums, plus a steady stream of singles. Along the way it has recorded with Manny Montes, Gilberto Daza, Generación 12, Kike Pavón, Musiko, and Lizzy Parra, among other names in the Spanish-language Christian scene.

La Luz earned them a Premio Arpa nomination in 2022 in the Best Pop/Fusion Album or Track category, and in 2025 the Academia Musical Cristiana desde la Perspectiva Latina (AMCL) named them Duo or Group Album of the Year for Buenas y Malas, in an edition in which they picked up six nominations, including Musical Collaboration of the Year for "A Mi Lado," with Alex Campos.

That fifth album sums up their formula: songs about faith in the middle of real life — tiredness, doubt, coming back home — without sermons or market formulas. Today they top 690 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify; "Blanco y Negro" passes eight million streams and "Locura" sits around 6.8 million.
