Samuel Serrano.

There is a Spanish-language Christian electronic music scene, and Samuel Serrano is one of its leading names. Ecuadorian, producer, DJ, singer-songwriter, and composer, he trained in future house and progressive house, and his catalog follows that line: tracks made for dancing with lyrics about faith.

He started early: at thirteen he got into programming and production, and today he signs his songs from end to end — he writes, sings, produces, mixes, and masters. His first releases came in 2020: “Fighter” in January and “Enamorarme” in August.

In 2023 the Arpa Awards nominated him in their 18th edition, in the Alternative Music Album or Track category, for “Mejor Un Día.” That same year he released “Correré” with Lairos and hasn't stopped since: “Paz” and “Gone” (2024), “IN LOVE WITH U,” “ALL REMINDS ME,” “In Your Grace” with Sophiv, and “KEEP ON DANCING” with Love & Hope (2025), and in 2026 “Febrero” with Matthew Morales, “7 VECES,” and “Paraíso.” “7 VECES” draws on Proverbs 24:16 — the righteous fall seven times and rise again — and sums up his message: strength doesn't come from yourself.

His music also sounds live. Since 2021 he has organized Luz Party in Quito, a Christian electronic party with the youth ministry Somos Luz, from Ministerio Palabra y Poder, and in 2025 he brought his set to LUMINATION, in Guatemala. He also remixes others: Montesanto (“Fiesta En El Desierto”), Julio Melgar (“Creo En Ti”), and Jesus Loves Electro, among others.

If you want to get into Christian electronic music, start with “Mejor Un Día” and “7 VECES,” and save “Coming Back For Me” for your workout playlist. The question remains open: does dancing in church sound strange to you, or do you think you can also worship that way?
