La Sociedad 111.

La Sociedad 111 was born in Bogotá in 2017 with a clear idea: to sing the faith with the pulse of the Caribbean. It is made up of Alfredo Sanabria, on vocals and songwriting, and César Triana, on drums and songwriting, joined by musicians who give body to the live sound.

That same year they released «Fuente», alongside the Chilean band Jah Love, and their first three-track release opened a path in the Latin gospel scene. Hymns also passed through their filter: «Cuán grande es Él» (2019) and «Sublime gracia» (2022) arrived in reggae versions to ears that perhaps would never have sung them.

Their first studio album, Hasta que deje de respirar, is from 2020. The second, Lenguaje singular, was built single by single between 2021 and 2023, with collaborations such as «Tomarte de la mano» with Gilberto Daza and «Perfecta combinación» with Kev Miranda. Since 2024 they have been working on the third: «Melanina» was the first single and «Agüita de coco» the second, with cumbia and Colombian folklore inside the reggae.

Along the way came the recognition: a 2022 Premio Arpa nomination for Composer of the Year for «Lenguaje singular», the Merit Award at the 2024 Praise Music Awards, recognition at the Premios Mundo Hit, and a presence at Bogotá Góspel, with stages shared alongside Danilo Montero, Christafari, and Alex Zurdo.

Theirs is not a formula: Latin reggae that crosses with pop, rock, and cumbia, and lyrics about intimacy with God, gratitude, and a hope that does not depend on circumstances. Between the remasters of their catalog and the third album on the way, the band shows that you can sound current without compromising the message.
