Biography.

Pablo Olivares was born in 1973 in Munro, in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, and by age 16 he was already leading his first band. With Halógena he went from playing the biggest stages in Argentina to sharing the bill with Whitesnake, Megadeth, and Queensrÿche: the dream of any teenager raised among guitars and amplifiers. Until in 1998, in the middle of a tour through Mexico, he and his bandmates were kidnapped in Mexico City. In the midst of those hours he prayed, he says, for the first time in years, and promised to leave everything behind. He came out free, converted to Christianity, and said goodbye to the band.

Coming back was not easy. He spent a time away from the stage, writing songs without knowing where he was headed, until he signed with the CanZion label and in 2004 released "Luz en mi vida," his solo debut, produced in the United States by Arturo Allen. The album put him in the main award races of the Christian market: a 2005 Latin Grammy nomination, a Dove Awards nomination, and two Arpa awards that same year (Release of the Year and Best Pop/Rock/Hard Rock/Fusion Album).

Then came "Voy a entregar mi corazón" (2007), with a second Latin Grammy nomination, "Si te conocieran" (2009), and the soundtrack of "Poema de Salvación" (2011), the film that tells his story and that the Arpa awards honored that year in the category of best DVD, short film, or feature film.

In 2023 he reunited with Halógena on "Psicotango," and in December 2024 he celebrated twenty years since his debut with a concert at the Teatro Flores in Buenos Aires, released as a live album. His YouTube channel tops 150,000 subscribers and he keeps touring churches and festivals across Latin America.

What sustains that career is a rock that covers nothing up: songs about a life that fell apart and got back up, written for the young people who today are where he once was. He doesn't sell formulas or promises of success; he tells what God did with him and lets the listener draw their own conclusions.
