The song she wrote alone earned her first Dove; on November 12 she'll compete for the Latin GRAMMY in Las Vegas.

She wrote it herself. Sarai Rivera won a Dove singing in Spanish for "Tu Voz" at the 57th GMA Dove Awards at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, according to JubileeCast on October 12, 2026.

Rivera didn't just go up to accept the award. She also hosted the pre-show, sang "Suelto, I Give You My Dreams" and presented an award during the main ceremony. Her first Dove comes after her first Latin GRAMMY nomination for the album Inquebrantable.

The Dove that came with "Tu Voz"

The award recognizes the Spanish-language recorded song of the year, and "Tu Voz" was written entirely by Rivera, with no co-writers.

"Receiving my first Dove as a Mexican American artist is very special, especially for a song like 'Tu Voz.' All the glory to Jesus!" Rivera said (Sígueme translation).

On Spotify she has around two million monthly listeners and on Instagram, 790,000 followers, according to JubileeCast. She's also getting ready to go on tour with the Air1 Worship Now Tour, alongside Tauren Wells, Seph Schlueter and Gateway Worship.

Rivera moves between Spanish and English, and her message reaches audiences from different cultures, according to JubileeCast.

A language that also counts

For a young Hispanic who hears their people at home and the industry in English, a Spanish-language song awarded in Nashville says something: your language isn't the secondary version of anything.

It seems to me that singing in Spanish at an awards show like that is bringing your home to the stage, not a folkloric gesture.

The trophy, though, doesn't measure the value of a song or of the one who wrote it. It measures what an industry decided to award that year.

"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31, ESV). That's the measure that doesn't change, with or without a stage.

Music doesn't save anyone; the one who saves is Christ. But an honest lyric can walk with you along the way.

The main ceremony airs on TBN and the TBN+ app, with simultaneous broadcast on SiriusXM The Message, according to JubileeCast. On November 12, in Las Vegas, Rivera competes for best Christian album in Spanish at the 27th Latin GRAMMY Awards, JubileeCast reported.

From the stage to your playlist

Try something this week. Listen to "Tu Voz" with the lyrics in front of you and hold on to the line that reminds you who God is. Then send it to someone going through a hard year: a lyric in your language hits different.

And if someday you get to win something —an award, a promotion, applause—, remember who Rivera gave the credit back to at the end of her message. A trophy goes on a shelf; glory has only one owner.

So, phone in hand: what song in Spanish speaks to you today?
